PROJECT RECORD

Survey Information

Survey Scope

Comprehensive 3D metric documentation and digital twin creation of the Chiesa di Sant'Antonio dei Cappuccini in Martina Franca. The project captures the entire monumental complex, from large-scale exterior facades and roof structures down to complex interior geometries, including vaulted ceilings, side chapels, and highly detailed handcrafted wooden altars.

A rigorous multi-sensor data fusion approach combining aerial and terrestrial mapping systems georeferenced under the RDN2008-UTM33N system:

UAV
Aerial Photogrammetry (UAV)

Exterior surfaces and roofs captured via a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone equipped with a 20 MP Hasselblad camera, processing 519 high-resolution images through SfM/MVS algorithms.

MMS
Indoor LiDAR Survey (MMS)

Intricate interior heritage spaces documented using an XGRIDS LIXEL L2 handheld Mobile Laser Scanner driven by SLAM technology, capturing over 640,000 points/second.

GNSS
Topographic Control

Absolute spatial georeferencing secured through an 11-point Ground Control Point (GCP) network, surveyed using a Leica GNSS Viva 12 receiver in high-precision PPK mode.
